The ferry keeps its own morning. You don't steer it — you steer what it leaves behind: the trailing water. Use it gently. The harbor is full of small things that need exactly that.
How it works
The ferry follows the same route every morning. You cannot steer it — it isn't listening.
Drag on the water to lean the wake left or right, within its limits.
Drag up to sharpen the wake — narrower, stronger. Drag down to widen it — softer, gentler.
The wake trails behind the ferry on a real delay. Aim for where things will be, not where they are.
Catch a drifting toy in the wake to carry it home. Rock a sleepy angler's boat — not too hard. Sweep litter toward the skimmer.
There's a swan nest somewhere in the harbor. Never let the wake grow strong near it — widen and lean away in time.
